Human Resources Supervisor Job in Greenwood 29647, South Carolina US
Eaton Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor to be based at our Electrical Plant located in Greenwood, SC.
This role will be responsible for:
Plan, develop, administer a variety of major human resources management programs for the company including employment, wage salary administration, employee communications, employee training and staff development, benefits, plant security, other related human resources activities; coordinate monitor activities to ensure compliance of programs with all applicable state federal laws, regulations guidelines as well as conforming with Eaton corporate human resources management policies and procedures. Human Resources business partner to a critical segment of the operation.
A. Plan and administer the recruiting, selection, and employment functions for the Company; establish and maintain employment contacts with outside agencies, etc. to support recruitment needs and EEO objectives.
B. Prepare and plan recruitment for open positions using established internal processes in compliance with company and external sources.
C. Conduct orientation programs for new employees to explain policies, procedures, benefits and other employment conditions.
D. Plan, administer and monitor closed loop Training and Development programs to ensure the development needs of employees are being met.
E. Coordinate services, general communication provide advice information to employees on benefit programs and coordinate corporate policies/procedures.
F. Design, implement, maintain an employee communications program for the company.
G. Coordinate annual in-plant United Way campaign including publications, general communications, informational reports to employee agencies.
H. Establish effective communications to keep employees informed of policies, procedures, and events.
I. Plan conduct plant tours for visitors and conduct other programs related to civic organizations and local educational institutions.
J. Coordinate affirmative action programs and related EEO informational activities for the company.
K. Monitor and critique contract cafeteria food service operations and take appropriate action as required.
L. Maintain administer factory promotional procedures, payroll changes, and performance reviews.
M. Provide confidential employee counseling as needed to assist employees or refer to care agencies; maintain all aspects of a strong and positive employee relations environment.
N. Assist H.R. Manager and department managers with writing/reviewing of job descriptions.
O. Must develop a working knowledge of state and federal employment and EEO laws, benefits administration, plant security, and salary administration concepts and policies.
P. Must have effective oral and written communication skills, including positive interviewing and counseling skills and techniques.
Q. Must have a high degree of resourcefulness, tact, and persuasiveness needed in handling employee concerns and in dealing effectively with management and employees to resolve employment-related issues.
R. Perform other related activities and special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Human Resources or an MBA
• Two (2) years of human resources generalist experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Human resources generalist experience from within an industrial manufacturing environment
Position Criteria:
• Knowledge of state and federal employment and EEO laws, employee benefits administration, salary administration concepts and policies, employee relations and communications, recruitment and selection, occupational safety and health, and plant security programs.
