Position Description

HVAC Equipment Engineering Specialist

Trane solutions optimize indoor environments with a broad portfolio of energy efficient heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, building and contracting services, parts support and advanced controls for commercial buildings.

We are in need of a HVAC Equipment Engineering Specialist to join our Wilkes Barre, PA Commercial Sales Office.  The HVAC Equipment Engineering Specialist works directly with customers, account managers, sub-contractors, and others to ensure timely completion of assigned projects. They manage all aspects of equipment projects, with direct responsibility for project execution; to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame, including coordinating selection and pricing for each project.

Additional responsibilities include:

Utilizes plans, specs, knowledge of controls/construction industry to analyze project needs compiles detailed cost estimates.

Minimum requirements include the following:

*         Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management

*         three (3-5) years experience in estimating, engineering or construction management;

*         Working knowledge of all facets of: construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and knowledge with the operation of HVAC systems, electrical systems and temperature controls.

*         Knowledge reading and understanding blueprints and construction plans and specifications.

*         Experience with computer estimating and word processing software programs.
