We are currently seeking a Mechanical Solutions Salesperson to support our Retrofit department in Greensboro and Raleigh.
Summary
Identify, understand, evaluate, estimate and provide conceptual solutions to complex HVAC needs. Manage the sales process from beginning to end. Support and aid retrofit operations as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
· A thorough understanding of complex HVAC systems and their proper operation including piping and ductwork.
· Ability to develop a conceptual design in enough detail and specificity to develop a competent and thorough sales proposition.
· Ability to develop an estimate based on the conceptual design or detailed design drawings.
· Ability to communicate the details of a conceptual design with design engineers and interface as needed to engineer the project.
· Experience in construction practices, project scheduling, and planning in order to effectively communicate with the project managers and properly estimate the project needs.
· Ability to respond to customers’ needs by gaining an understanding of their pain and move the project through the sales process.
· Support other sales teams by developing solutions, project scope outlines, and estimates.
· Aid in the estimating and sales of retrofit projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interprets plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, technical manuals, codes and regulations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to multi-task and manage critical deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with customers from the C-level to the boiler room.
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate degree in HVAC or related field; B.S. degree in Engineering preferred
- 5+ years experience in the design and/or sale of complex HVAC solutions
- Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of design software preferred
- Basic Auto-cad skills
- Ability to achieve expert level working knowledge of Quotesoft estimating software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Mechanical H1, H2, H3 license preferred
- LEED certified preferred
