Hydraulic Design Engineer
Why John Deere
- Develop and implement hydraulic warranty, durability, and cost reduction projects on combines and front end equipment.
- Work with other functional engineers, supply management, and/or supplier personnel on the implementation of design solutions.
- Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
- Develop and execute hydraulic test plans for product verification and validation.
- Use project management skills to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Implement design changes into production and work with other cross functional team members to gain alignment.
- Travel occasionally to field sites as required.
What It Takes
- 3 or more years of experience in designing hydraulic systems for mobile equipment.
- Technical experience relating to the diagnostics and testing of hydraulic and/or hydrostatic systems.
- Experience with the product development process.
- Experience with off road equipment with complex hydraulic systems.
- Experience with hydraulic engineering tools such as Easy5, Automation Studio, and Visio.
- Experience with electro-hydraulic control systems.
- Experience with both open center and closed center hydraulic systems and components.
- Skill in using Pro/E, including large assembly management and Pro/PIPING.
- Experience with implementing parts/assemblies into production.
