Hydraulic Laboratory Engineer

Job Description Job Description: Our Redmond, WA office has an opening for a hydraulic engineer with interest in one or more of the following areas: design and analysis of pump stations; troubleshooting and field performance testing of pumps and turbines; and hydraulic design/analysis of reservoirs, intakes, hydropower and fish passage facilities, stormwater management, water and wastewater treatment plants, and water and wastewater conveyance structures. Work requires knowledge of hydraulic engineering, physical and numerical hydraulic modeling, water quality, surface water hydrology, and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related specialties such as sediment transport. Qualifications: BS in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related subjects. 2-5 years experience in hydraulic engineering or similar field. Talented recent graduates with relevant engineering courses and strong commitment to be an outstanding hydraulic engineer will be considered as well. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD are required. Experience with physical hydraulic modeling, field research programs, and insturmentation and computer-based data acquistions systems is highly desirable. Proven skills in engineering analysis, design, verbal and written communicatin must be commensurate with the position.
