Hydraulic Modeling Engineer

Job Description Job Description: Our Redmond, WA office has an opening for a motivated numerical modeler with experience and interest in one or more of the following areas: sediment transport, water quality, computational fluid dynamics, hydraulic transient analysis, hydrodynamic modeling, or surface water hydrology. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, leading projects in their area of expertise and supporting projects in other areas. Qualifications: Work requires knowledge of application of 1-, 2-, and 3-D numerical hydraulic models; experience with integrated modeling approaches incorporating both physical and numerical hydraulic models is considered a plus. Candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply. At a minimum, the successful candidate will possess a BS in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related subjects and 2-5 years experience in hydraulic engineering or similar field. Talented recent graduates with relevant engineering courses and strong commitment to be an outstanding hydraulic engineer, as well as highly experienced engineers with a desire to be a practice leader will be considered as well. The practice leader will have 15 plus years of related experience and a good track record of client service and relationship building. Experience in physical hydraulic modeling and field research programs are desirable but not a requirement. Proven skills in engineering analysis, design, verbal and written communication must be commensurate with the position.
