Hyperion ESSbase Administrator Job in Aiken, South Carolina Us

Currently, we have an opening in the following area: 

·         The subcontractor shall provide development and maintenance support for the Hyperion Essbase software implementation

·         The subcontractor will be responsible for participating in research, requirements definition, planning, design, and execution of a Hyperion Essbase solution for budget and forecasting initiatives. In addition, the subcontractor will assist in the configuration of the Hyperion environments, including recommendations regarding optimal utilization for large implementations.

·         The subcontractor must be able to communicate effectively with Information Technology developers, database administrators (DBAs), and system engineers.

·         The subcontractor will report and take directions from the IT lead developer.

Qualifications Required 

 

·         Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years experience with hands-on development and/or administration experience with Hyperion Essbase and various Hyperion products 

·         General functional knowledge with Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial analysis processes

·         Ability to develop and update complex reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, is a plus

·         Experience with Oracle Hyperion 11.1 platform

·         Highly proficient with all Hyperion ESSBase related tools and features, including Administrative Services (EAS), SmartView, Financial Reporting, and Hyperion Workspace

·         Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), is desired

·         Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and/or PeopleSoft Supply Chain modules, is a plus.

·         Ability to work effectively both independently and in groups

·         Ability to work effectively in project type roles and environments

·         Organizational, problem-solving and communication skills

Technical Requirements

·         The subcontractor shall provide the following services:

·         Research and gather end user requirements

·         Responsible for understanding and interpreting end user requirements and translating those requirements into well architected and documented solutions and designs

·         Execute on the development, implementation, and testing of developed solutions to ensure business requirements are satisfied and implemented accurately.

·         Develop and maintain detailed end user documentation and application and security administration documentation

·         Assist in the configuration of the Hyperion environment, including recommendations around optimal utilization for large implementations.

·         Build and maintain Essbase dimensional hierarchies

·         Create, modify, execute, and maintain Essbase business rules, calculation scripts, outlines, member formulas, variable, aliases, partitions, load rules, MAXL, security filters, and report scripts

·         Create, modify, execute, and maintain Hyperion Planning calculations and modeling.

·         Analyze data issues and reconcile, as necessary

·         Manage data and metadata load processes and mappings, including validation, to confirm the quality and accuracy of data

·         Generate weekly status reports to the Project Manager and to the Subcontractor Technical Representative (STR)

·         Mentor by sharing insights and prior lessons learned from previous Hyperion Essbase implementation and by providing knowledge transfer about the Hyperion toolset

·         Define and establish security within the Hyperion solution based upon established Computer Security requirements.

 

Work Hours:    

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. ITS is presently using the 9/80s AA schedule (9 hours/day, five days a week, Monday – Thursday and 8 hours on Friday, followed by a 9 hour/day, 4 day work week, Monday – Thursday, off Friday).  Work week excludes SRNS holidays or an 8 hour day Monday - Friday.  Each work day has a 30-minute, unpaid lunch.

 

Other Skills

An ideal C3G teammate is bright, self-confident, self-motivated, and results-oriented.  Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years* direct/hands-on experience in their chosen field.  Professional certifications are highly desired as is a formal education from an accredited university in computer science or related area of study.

Candidates must also have:

·         Proven client management experience, including ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently and set expectations

·         Ability to adapt and work effectively in a variety of configurations * independently, as a member of a team, and
