Position Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Dual reporting relationship: SSG Americas regional Operations Manager (Seattle, Washington) and Boeing International Country President (Sao Paulo, Brazil).

Position Summary:

The Business Support Manager (BSM) works in a managerial capacity to deliver, coordinate, and integrate Shared Services for Boeing Corporate, Boeing Defense, Space Security and Boeing Commercial Airplane employees located throughout Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Columbia). Boeing's Shared Services Group is made up of 5 service delivery areas: Enterprise Services, Site Services, Supplier Management, Security and Fire Protection as well as Finance and Business. Services are delivered locally via the BSM or by centralized functions in the United States. The BSM also represents, supports and coordinates with various corporate functions such as International Finance, Tax, Human Resources and others on matters pertaining to the compliant and efficient operation of the Boeing Brazil Services Technical Aeronautics Ltda. legal entity in Brazil.

Responsibilities:

It is the responsibility of the BSM to ensure compliance to local laws (including local tax, workplace safety, local labor laws, etc.) and Boeing policies. Develop and manage a shared services operating budget (infrastructure and administrative) and to build relationships with external suppliers or stakeholders as well as internal Boeing business partners. The BSM is responsible for the integrated delivery of shared services throughout Latin America, including the support of international assignees (including relocation assistance, residency documentation, etc.) and locally hired employees. The BSM is further responsible for the in country Boeing infrastructure (office facilities, etc.) and Security items such as Disaster Planning and Business Continuity.

Competencies

Preferred Candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in a senior administrative, business support or shared services position for a Brazilian or international company, agency or organization including budget responsibility and management experience. Also the candidate should have a working knowledge of accounting, finance, labor and procurement practices as well as regulatory requirements in Brazil. Strong organizational and communications skills, the ability to think proactively and collaboratively are a must. Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic attitude, high ethics, and a demonstrated track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment. Must have a tolerance for organizational complexity and needs to be a very strong, committed team oriented person. Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish required (written and spoken).

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have at least 5 years experience in working with a multi-national corporation in a senior adminstrative or business support role?

Do you have at least 5 years of finance and procurement experience?

Do you have knowledge of the local labor laws/regulatory requirements of Brazil?

Typical Education/Experience

University/College degree preferred, specifically in business management.
