Position Description:
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for managing large cross-functional projects that impact multiple functional departments. Responsible for driving technical projects, tracking project team tasks, managing project deliverables, identifying and resolving issues, and communicating project status to the project team and leadership team.
Initiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers managers, internal business customers, vendors, and cross-functional departments / projects to coordinate efforts across multiple business units.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience delivering major projects in one or more of the following business areas: eCommerce, Order Management, Payment Processing, Back Office Systems, and/or Consumer-facing Transactional Websites
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand and facilitate full project lifecycle planning tracking.
- Have an understanding of the different Project Management methodologies tools, and be flexible to recognize adopt the best methods/processes for a given project or organization.
- Prepare and present project information and task details to project team members and executive leadership.
- Proactively resolve conflict among team members and between teams.
- Facilitate business analysis and requirements gathering, working directly with business stakeholders (includes departmental users external vendors).
- Facilitate systems analysis technical design sessions among the project stakeholders.
- Ensure adequate support is provided to all project team members so that they have what they need to complete their project assignments.
- Maintain project scope: develop project plans based on agreed project goals (Project Charter, Statement of Work, Business Requirements Documentation)
- Monitor and report project status
- Strong issues management skills; assist the owners of issues in working toward resolution/escalation
- Facilitate and manage risk planning mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate the development of all testing documents and manage the execution of testing.
- IT Vendor Management: build strong relationships with 3rd Party vendors, including onsite and offshore teams.
- Understand the impact of technology on the business needs. Be able to suggest practical technical solutions to business problems.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the technical aspects of software development (applications, databases, hardware platforms, operating systems, networks, etc.).

Qualifications:
FUNCTIONAL PREREQUISITES
- Minimum of 8-10 years Project Management experience
- Experience in large scale implementations
- Background in a formal Project Management Methodology
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Solid understanding of technology architecture.
- Experience in matrix based project environments with shared pool of resources.
- Microsoft Project, MS Office, SharePoint, and Visio experience
