IB – Broker Dealer Services – Product Development Manager – Vice President – New York recruitment

Assume lead role in trading systems product development for active trading broker-dealer clients
Elicit and create business requirement documents (BRDs) and use cases for new technology initiatives and product enhancements

Identify and engage appropriate stakeholders across functional roles within multiple lines of business to ensure broad consensus, secure formal sign-offs on business requirements
Challenge the status quo - seek continual improvement, expose inefficiencies and sieze opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenues
Understand client needs by soliciting input from clients, sales, service, operations
Understand the competitive landscape and key product or service differentiators, perform gap analysis to direct technology investment
Partner with technology teams to prioritize and deliver products/services that meet client needs
Assist sales and service efforts to grow the client base by identifying appropriate solutions and delivering new products
Act as subject matter expert for institutional, prop trading, introduced ("mini") prime segments to bolster existing electronic trading product suite
Understand and manage institutional trade reporting requirements and related system enhancements
Package and enhance existing trading services to improve and better represent firm capabilities
Analyze and prioritize client enhancement requests for trading applications
Serve as liaison to service team (including client service reps, trainers, integration sales) to communicate schedule of development items and issue tracking
Work with the usability team to develop wireframes and prototypes where applicable
Analyze vendors and negotiate contracts as necessary
Serve as "voice of business" during execution phase of projects
Support sales by presenting the product/functionality to prospects
Track product usage and report to management
Coordinate and perform user acceptance testing (UAT), participate in periodic production rollouts of new products or versions

Qualifications

Experience in electronic trading execution services
General trading knowledge - equities options required, futures desired
Solid knowledge and experience with trade lifecycle: parent/child, routing, allocation, reporting
Detailed knowledge and experience in the EMS/OMS vendor space (clearance a plus)
Basic knowledge of FIX concepts, execution venues including DMA Algos preferred
Basic knowledge of OATS and other FINRA Compliance reporting requirements for trading activity
International and FX trading are a plus
Experience in the broker-dealer space preferred

Experience/Certifications:
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience is required
Four-year degree from a top-tier college or university
MBA is a plus, some graduate level coursework in finance or business is desireable
Series 7 and 65/66 preferred
