IB Equity Derivatives Middle Office — Project Associate recruitment
The EDG Projects Team is part of the EDG Middle Office, and is responsible for managing new initiatives on behalf of the EDG Front Office and Middle Office in Asia Ex-Japan. ("EDG" is the JPMorgan Equity Derivatives Group). The team's mandate includes new product offerings, end-to-end flow analyses, process re-engineering, system enhancements, etc.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities
We are specifically seeking people who have strong project management experience (minimum 2 years). Product knowledge (IB, derivatives, PnL, etc.) would definitely be an asset. An ability to understand technical requirements and system flows would be required.
The role includes the following functions:
- Liaise with the Front Office and Middle Office teams on their new business requirements
- Carry out analyses on the logistical flow to fulfil new requirements
- Provide solutions to resolve obstacles
- Setup and document the project plan(s)
- Coordinate among different departments and stakeholders
- Follow up with the project performance after the project goes live

Shares, convertible bonds, equity and interest rate futures, OTC options, equity swaps, stock borrow and loan, Participation notes.
Skills
- Strong proficiency with using PC software such as Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up systems architecture easily. Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio would be a plus.
- Previous exposure to derivative products is a prerequisite. A mathematics or finance background would be an asset.
- Knowledge of different Asian markets including legal, compliance, settlement and tax would be a plus.
- Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written).
- 2-3 years experience in an investment banking environment, preferably with middle office/ product control/ project experience.
