Our teamIndividual will join the Prime Brokerage Market Risk team in EMEA.
They will support the Senior Risk Manager in EMEA and be part of a wider team globally covering both local and global clients.
Responsibilities consist of overseeing various aspects of market risk related to the Prime Brokerage business including but not limited to financing, clearing, securities lending, and derivatives activity.
The team is responsible for determining the appropriate extension of leverage to hedge fund and professional money manager client base through analysis of portfolio and investment strategy ensuring that clients are capitalized sufficiently.

Key responsibilities:

Day to day management of risk process / operation
Ensuring clients are capitalized sufficiently to withstand a wide range of possible market conditions through effective risk management while balancing risk/reward characteristics and partnering with the Business
Utilizing a proactive strategy of risk oversight by measuring and managing market risk, setting and enforcing limits, and establishing guidelines for the extension of leverage.
Negotiating leverage terms, term financing commitments, portfolio structures, and rules based collateral arrangements.
Representing the risk perspective and working with project management teams on various long term initiatives
Communicating risk views and leverage implications with clients prospects
Summarizing risk profile of clients and Business to senior management
Assist in defining and controlling risk policy
Interacting with numerous front, middle, and back office areas
Reviewing the leverage recommendations of risk analysts for appropriateness
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and client issues

Qualifications
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be a self starter.
He or she will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
They should be comfortable working in a team environment and interacting with clients.
The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail as well as strong analytical aptitude.

Familiarity with risk management, principles and trends
Experience in a Prime Brokerage business and/or Equity Derivatives business
Comfort with quantitative concepts
Understanding of various forms of financing transactions (margin, repo, derivatives) and the associated risks.
