The Project Manager will guide a large-scale initiative across the Investment Bank and Retail Financial Services. The project receives regular attention from the firm's most senior management, and offers a diverse set of organizational, analytical, legal, technological and other challenges that require a Project Manager with strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and financial analytics skills.
Responsibilities:
Refine vision and strategy for the organization of all institutional information related to structured mortgage transactions for heritage RMBS sponsors (JPMorgan, Chase, Bear Stearns, and Wamu)
Ensure efficient execution of the gathering, organization, manipulation, storage, and analysis of data collected from disparate sources and systems
Translate the reporting and analytical needs of the user-base, which includes the firm's senior management, into concrete project deliverables
Drive technology teams to build and deliver the platform and tools which the project will rely heavily on
Build and execute project roadmaps
Qualifications
Bachelor's or higher degree (Master's degree, MBA and/or CFA is a plus)
Several years of proven experience in project management, consulting, finance and/or technology
Experience working with, organizing, and leading teams of people with diverse backgrounds and skill-sets toward a common goal
Ability to multi-task and to manage a large volume of varied short-term and long-term objectives
Strong organizational skills for managing complex projects in an efficient manner and meeting business objectives throughout a changing environment
Experience or familiarity with some or all of the following: project management; computer programming; databases; residential mortgages and mortgage-backed securitization transactions / documentation / legal matters
