Role Description for Job Posting
The Strategic Initiatives office is launching a multi-year program overseeing definition and implementation of a target end state operating model to support the Securities and Prime Services businesses in their optimization of resources and compliance with the future regulatory regimes.
This newly created operations role will be to provide program management leadership for the Strategic Initiatives Office.
There are a variety of programs in this office including:
- Post-Trade Trade/Position Management and Settlements System Reengineering
- Implementation of a central Operations Data Store for Securities
- Creation of a variety of Securities processing Utilities
Role and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work with internal technology, operations, legal, finance, and front-office groups to:
- Create and publish process flows, roadmaps and regular timelines for program status reporting to internal parties and stakeholders
- Produce and maintain a central program plan across multiple streams
- Financial tracking and reporting on combined technology and operations budget versus spend versus forecast
- Produce summary presentations and overview materials for program stakeholders
- Log, track, and report program-level risks, issues and dependencies
- Maintain the program documentation library
- Ensure compliance with established program management standards and audit requirements
Additional responsibilities may include ownership of some program deliverables and projects, supporting implementation activities and building out program management best practice globally
Skills
- Practical experience of project management discipline and techniques including planning, score carding and financial and resource management in an operations or technology environment
- Very strong analytical, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional global teams and interact with all staff levels
- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
- Experience of working on large scale, multi-stream programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong practical experience of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Strong risk and controls awareness
- Experience with Securities and operations preferred
Preferred
- Work experience within an investment banking environment
- Detailed Securities Product Knowledge
- Understanding and experience of investment bank back office business processes
