Core Processing might be categorised in traditional terms to fit within Middle/Back office. All post trade processing is conducted within this function.
As Core Processing continues to evolve the tenets of a future state vision, it has become very apparent that there is a requirement for a small, but highly-talented team of people to take forward, and ensure that core segment aligned tenets are delivered (in this case FCPP). The deliverables must be aligned to business requirements and ensured that they are delivered in a strategic and scalable manner to accommodate the demanding business growth and capacity, including all the functional and business non-functional requirements (NFRs).
Key to the delivery of the broader IB vision is gaining an understanding of overall financial management subsequently gaining an understanding of what our cost-per-trade is.
This role aligns with the broader Core Processing vision.
To support this vision, Core Processing and especially FCPP Architecture is looking to bolster and strengthen Architecture through reasoned and pragmatic delivery. The Technical Architect role is pivotal in developing and delivering the overall FCPP vision and roadmap. It encompasses the functional and technical responsibility for the Architecture, Design, and Strategic elements globally.
The role is looking for a strong architect who is able to demonstrate key technical design and architecture skills. The role demands excellent decision making skills coupled with excellent communications and personal impact.
A strong leader and team player with strong problem solving skills, the individual will have the opportunity to assist in shaping the FCPP architecture function.
The individual will be responsible for delivering :Architectural services to the projects and programme teams to ensure that all new and BAU projects are architecturally compliant to FCPP standards.Create a Demand Management Pipeline to ensure that FCPP infrastructure and environment demand can be proactively managedProactively engage with project teams to assess projects for architectural compliance.Proactively engage with project teams to define current, interim and target state architectures.Define and implement a full life-cycle for Technical Requirements Capture and TraceabilityWork to engage with Core Processing Architecture and Components team and actively promote the use of core components.Define a model for the creation and delivery of FCPP shared managed services and share the philosophy across core components.Define and share FCPP Architecture Guiding PrinciplesAssist in defining the future state vision and architecture in the use business services and workflows that will define and shape the future vision of the SOA and BPM adoption within FCPP.Define architecture standards and guidelinesDefine Process and Service Taxonomy for all activities related to Finance processing (Accounting, SubLedger, GL Datawarehouse, Reconciliations, Financial Reporting).Definition of the aspects within FCPP relating to:-

Qualifications

This role requires solid Architecture, Integration Architecture and Software Development experience along with technical and technical delivery experience. Knowledge of Front Office is desirable, however, Middle and Back Office functions, are highly desirable. The role will also require the previous experience of working within Investment Banking, in an architecture capacity, especially as it relates to Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC, and FX asset classes and supported financial products within these classes.

Track record of successful delivery of strategic application and technology architecture across business and IT, within the Investment Banking.
Broad knowledge of end-to-end processing from a post-trade perspective in Investment Banking.
Architecture tools such as SPARX, ARIS, Archimate
Cross asset class knowledge coupled with Derivates, Securities, FO, FX Commodities product knowledge
Development or technical background, ideally in Java, C, C ,.NET
