The Credit Derivatives Risk and PL Reporting Group is looking for a developer to join the front-office facing technology team to build a Risk and PL User Interface for the Credit Trading business.
This is a great entry point for an exceptional technologist who would like to proceed on the career path of learning the business and building trading solutions.
The main objective for the first six months is to work on the existing system, Pulse, and learn the business.
In parallel with this effort the successful candidate is expected to lead the re-architecture and redesign effort.
The goal is to transform the existing solution into the new state of the art offering with the minimum disruption to the existing business process.
This is an exciting and challenging role and will give the technical platform for the candidate to make a big difference to an engaged, profitable business.
The successful candidate will need to be able to read and understand the existing code as well as write new code. He/she will have to work on the daily, business-as-usual agenda while laying out proposals for strategic changes.
The existing application is written in C# with interfaces to Microsoft SSAS and Web Services written in Java.
Programming skills in C# are essential with Java programming experience a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services in a definite plus but its use in the final design is currently uncertain.
The language and the architecture for the new platform are yet to be defined and therefore candidates with wide exposure to various languages and architectures are highly encouraged to apply.
An ability to communicate well in the fast paced front office environment is a must for this role.
The team that the candidate will be joining is a part of the larger tightly integrated Credit Derivatives technology team and provides an opportunity to expand in the area of Flow and Exotics Derivatives trading, pricing, and analytics.

Qualifications
Required Skills:The successful candidate will show a proven record and capability in the following areas:' History of mastering an understanding of a business domain' Object oriented analysis and design and agile development experience' Development of high performance scalable systems in C#' Passion for technology and exposure to various areas of technology' Good communication skills
Education:BS or MS in Computer Science or other technical field
