The "JPMorgan - North America Fixed Income RAD (Rapid Application Development) Team" provides trading, pricing, marketing and risk management solutions to the trading and sales desks. Working closely with users and other technology / research teams on a daily basis, the group
builds out of tools for real-time pricing and marketing, intra-day and end of day risk management in a fast moving market environment.
As a FI RAD application developer / analyst, you will analyze, design, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements of one or more user areas within Interest Rates Markets. The trading environment encourages the delivery of prototypes that are fast to market without sacrificing control. This role requires a high level of business interaction, Interest Rate product knowledge and typically speaking directly with the Trading and Marketing desks and Trading Operations to ascertain the required through to the delivery of a solution.
This is an Analyst / Associate level position within IB Technology organization. The position is located in New York City.Responsibilities:- Work closely with business and service delivery teams to ensure appropriate business measures are defined- Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written and verbal specifications- Examine applications to ensure adherence to coding guidelines, processes and procedures- Utilize the appropriate programming languages and software tools and technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades- Test, modify, and implement application code; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications and application support- Liaising with Quant Research, trading / marketing desks, operations management, audits and other technology groups for knowledge sharing and joint initiatives- Provide prompt technical support for the escalated production issues

Qualifications
- Master's / PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related science / engineering field;
or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science- 1 - 4 years working experience including internship in banking industry- Intermediate / advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and VBA (MANDATORY)- Intermediate / advanced working knowledge on Python or Perl strongly PREFERRED- Intermediate level skills on relational database such as SQL Server and / or Oracle. Real working experience on database (MANDATORY)- At least 1 year programming experience using major languages, such as Java, C/C , or C# / VB.NET- Experience on converting Excel spreadsheet to an application using Python, C#, web, etc, desirable
