The Java Developer will be a key member of the GPB Core Services DB development team, providing Java and Oracle solutions for various Prime Brokerage applications. The developer will be involved in the full project life cycle while working with team lead and developers to implement effective technical solutions, leveraging Java and database technologies.
Qualifications
Essential skills required:- 8 year experience, with 5 year recent experience in Java and Oracle development.- Experience developing Java applications that access Oracle databases.- Experience with SQL, JDBC and Spring JdbcTemplate.- Experience with JMS, Spring IoC and WebLogic.- Experience managing Oracle objects including tables, indexes, views, constraints, stored procedures, etc.- Experience with XML development, including DOM, StaX, JAXB, XML Schema and XPath.- Experience developing RESTful web services using JAX-RS.- Experience with Linux and shell scripting.- Experience with Eclipse and Subversion.- Experience with Java Concurrent package and multiple threading application
Additional Skills:- Oracle SQL Loader, Export / Import Utilities.- Extensive PL/SQL development, Development of stored procedures, triggers and packages- Hands on experience on coding, troubleshooting and performance tuning PL/SQL and SQL and complicated reporting- Excellent SQL Tuning experience. Familiarity with SQL Tracing and SQL Profiler, Use of SQL Access and SQL Tuning advisors; Understand the Oracle query optimizer- Knowledge in the Securities Industry and market data are a strong plus
Necessary Technology or Application Experience:' Must be proficient in Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms' Java 1.6, JMS, J2EE, JDBC' Oracle 9i/10g/11g RACS, Most current experience on Oracle 11g RAC.' UNIX Shell scripting
