This role provides the opportunity to be part of a global program spanning multiple lines of business within the Global Wholesale bank comprising of primarily the Investment banking, Treasury securities and services, wealth management and corporate banking divisions of JP Morgan. The role is for the key position of Technical Lead for the AML/ KYC application/ service and rules engine to be developed from scratch for this global program. The AML/ SKYC component will service KYC demand for clients of the wholesale bank and automate the process for remediation and renewal of KYC in response to various business event triggers throughout the lifetime of a client's engagement with JP Morgan Wholesale bank, The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful delivery, adoption and rollout of the KYC product to the various client segments. The candidate will report into Tech Delivery Mgr for the On-boarding program and will be required to coordinate between multiple JPM project teams and application Vendors to manage the end to end technical delivery of the KYC component and it's quality as per established standards and guidelines.
Liaise with the BAs and Vendor resources in translating business requirements into suitable scalable design solutions
Define and manage infrastructure, liaise and maintain relationships with environment/ infrastructure and technical operational groups
Own, validate and prove the Technical Design
of the KYC Component including core rules engine
Provide technical assistance and carry out design reviews/code reviews throughout the project life cycle
Ensure applications adhere to all Global Reference data
architectural standards and act as key liaision with Global Reference Data
architecture team
Implement best practices for software code development, re-use and componentization of functions
Work with program management to ensure close scrutiny, control over technical deliverable in adherence with project plan and ensure Green status listing in Capacity and Resiliency programs
In-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
Dependency management with all necessary technology teams for application integration points
Root Cause Analysis assistance of production support teams
Impact analysis critical hardware/software changes to production based on complexity
Qualifications
Technical Lead with over 8 years of Java J2EE experience (Certified J2EE Architect is a plus)
Extensive experience as Solution/ Data architect in full project life cycle development - Minimum 5 years
Ability to write/ review technical documentations, analyze business specifications
In depth knowledge of Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate/ iBatis, SQL, HTML, XML, Javascript, Ajax
J2EE OO Design Patterns Application server configuration, proxy and clustering, load-balancing and performance tuning
Hands-On experience/ Competent knowledge of JBoss Drools or jBPM and Adobe Flex
Hands-On experience with Weblogic, Apache and Tomcat
Minimum of 5 years experience of Oracle and stored procedures
System and business architecture experience with business process modeling techniques
Experience working on Technology projects dealing with remote development teams or external vendors
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
Strong analytical mind and approach to problem solving especially in designing multivariate rules engine
Strong problem-solving skills
A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without direction
Negotiation and influencing skills
Education:Degree or equivalent
