IB Technology, Associate — L1 Credit Portfolio Support recruitment
The candidate will be a member of the Credit Portfolio OPERATE team reporting to the team leader in New York.
The candidate will be involved in the daily activities to ensure the 24/5 availability of the systems for simulation and reports generation. The core strength of this candidate is expected to perform in depth analysis, simulations, answering queries and taking on any investigation escalation and follow-up of any issues or abnormality from the systems.
The candidate is responsible for supporting the Credit Portfolio business and is the 1st level support in Asia Pacific, early morning for North America and late afternoon for EMEA.
Routine duties will include:
- Provide customer support for the Credit Portfolio Group suite of applications
- Answering queries and performing in depth analysis regarding credit derivative risk calculation, e.g. pricing, analysis and modeling.
- Investigations on root causes of abnormal credit risk numbers (credit charge, exposure, mtm discrepancy, etc)
- Perform stress testing, What-if-analysis on new portfolio and credit risk factors, e.g. Interest, FX rate and volatility, etc. ad-hoc scenario simulation and analysis.
- Validate credit risk management reports.
- Be the primary point of escalation person for Asia-Pacific region for the Credit Portfolio Group business users.
- He/ she will be expected to participant UAT and smooth transition of new releases into production.
- Document problems for tracking and metrics.
- Developing tools, utilities and reports to facilitate and/ or automate operations
- Be the lead and primary point of escalation person for Asia-Pacific region for regulatory Risk Tech issues and Global Risk Tech issues.
Skills
- Good knowledge of derivative pricing methodology
- Good knowledge of credit and/ or market risk management methodology
- Good understanding of the application of Monte Carlo simulation in credit exposure calculation and pricing.
- Strong financial business and markets knowledge
- Intermediate level in Unix shell scripting, Unix commands
- Intermediate level of knowledge of SQL, DB Admin, Java
- Good Oracle knowledge
- Good Sybase knowledge
- Customer support experience for trading/middle office applications
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Team player and able to work with people of different skill levels
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills

- Leadership skills
- Ability to work closely with end users, traders, middle office, etc on day-to-day issues

- More than 7 years experience
- Post-graduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistic, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant technical field.
- CFA or FRM or PRM preferred
