IBD Product Controller recruitment
In your job based inHong Kong, you will act as the key interface between IBD/GCM Asia management and various areas in Finance. You will involve in reporting, analysis and strategic initiatives of IBD/GCM from Finance. You will be accountable to deliver the following:-
- Provide dedicated financial control and business analytical support to IBD Non-Japan Asia/IBD China business - Interact and liaise closely with various levels of IBD/GCM NJA/China business in:
- Providing high quality and accurate management information
- Coordinating the expenses recoverability exercise for all IBD NJA locations to improve the project expense recoverability, hence the deal profitability
- Coordinating the invoicing of fees and expenses to the clients
- Day-to-day booking/maintenance of general ledger of IBD:
- Processing of profit loss and balances sheet entries
- P/L and Balance sheet control / verification / review
- System reconciliation - Investigate and liaise / follow up on any reconciling differences
- Review and coordinate with Finance/PC/business in various Asia locations (includingChina) in:
- The booking of revenue, expenses and balance sheet accounts
- The billing of expenses to clients and the subsequent reimbursements to be made to various locations
- Rendering dedicated support to various non-Japan Asia/China locations with business presence
- Review and coordination on tax-driven hard transfers bookings
- To ensure these locations are SOX compliant and that appropriate supporting documentations are retained as evidence.
Job Requirements:
- You are a qualified accountant with experience in analysing, reviewing and reporting on large volumes of data and have the IT skills to perform this work (particularly, proficiency in excel and excellent skills in powerpoint and access).
- You have had some exposure to change, managing and delivering projects.
- You will have strong organisational skills to effectively manage the wide ranging requests that will be encountered in the role - there will be a high level of interaction with the Business Managers in the various regions.
- You will have clear verbal and written communication competencies in English and MUST have native level Mandarin forming part of strong client skills and will be able to utilise these to build strong client relationships, both within the IBD and GCM businesses as well as across Finance.
- You have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
