IBM Cognos TM1 Solution Developer Summary This position is responsible for the delivery of BI Finance projects involving Planning and Budgeting applications within IBM Cognos TM1 environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Job Components (may include but are not limited to): Build, maintain and support various TM1 models including related reports, Turbo Integrator (TI) chores, rules and general troubleshooting Design dimensional model for Financial Consolidation Projects Support budget planning process balancing enhancements and maintenance to the model and meeting business needs Overall management of all the production TM1 models as well as enhancements to those models Serve as the liaison between the TM1 Development team and the TM1 Infrastructure Support Group Challenge existing processes by developing innovative solutions to improve the accuracy and speed of reports and allocations Identify process inefficiencies and work with process owners to identify and implement improvements Partner with business customers to ensure that all reporting requirements are met and are available in a timely manner Work closely with process owners, building relationships and helping them to take accountability and responsibility for their deliverables Ensure a high level of support that is consistent with customer expectations Special projects as assigned to improve the overall level of automation within the Operations Systems Finance organization Education and Work Experience A bachelor¿s degree in finance, accounting or information technology A minimum of 3 years experience as an IBM Cognos TM1 developer/administrator Minimum 2- 3 years of overall experience in the financial consolidation, planning and budgeting space Extensively worked on various end to end Financial consolidation, Planning and Budgeting solutions using IBM Cognos TM1. Experience with financial modeling and forecasting Experience in Financial Management or accounting Exhaustive experience in Data warehousing, Database Design Demonstratedexpertise in financial analysis, accounting and financial reporting Strong SQL Skills against databases such as Teradata and Sqlserver Strong PC skills, including significant experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Competencies: Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills. Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action. Ability to work well under pressure and independently. Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels. Ability to effectively direct the work of others. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical material. Takes ownership of problems and develops sound solutions. Demonstrates sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information. Has the ability to reach sound decisions quickly. Able to fully research business situation, identify areas of concern and present solution. Has a solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of the business environment necessary to support assigned projects. Skilled at identifying flat areas and providing feedback to employees for performance improvement. OTHER: Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in business/financial systems and processes.
