As an ICS Messaging, UCC, and Smart Cloud for Social Business Sales Leader, you will report to the ICS West IMT Sales BUE. You will work with along side other West IMT solutions and sales leaders and will be responsible for leading IMT sales efforts around the ICS Messaging, UCC, and ICS SmartCloud portfolios. You will work directly with the sales teams to deliver solutions that address client business needs (both industry and business) and deliver client value while supporting brand-specific business strategies. In this role it is essential that you are able to apply industry-specific knowledge and experience to bring new business and technology insights to our clients. You will be required to maintain an exceptional level of understanding regarding our competition in order to effectively win in competitive situations.

As part of your responsibility, you will act as an IMT-level subject matter expert in the areas of Messaging, UCC, and ICS SmartCloud offerings, and you will be expected to enable, evangelize, market, and direct these solutions areas at all levels within the sales organization. You will be required to act as a complex deal coach and/or executive sponsor on many key opportunities.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Work with the sales teams to drive new sales and expand existing business
  • Work with the sales teams to retain and grow marketshare within the ICS portfolio
  • Provide sales direction and leadership on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the sales teams to progress and close opportunities on an accelerated timetable; monthly and weekly focus
  • Work with other sellers and units of IBM as needed to create an effective solution for the client
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client's industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry

  • Subject Matter Expertise in the areas of Notes/Domino Messaging, Sametime and Unified Communications, IBM Smart Cloud Solutions for ICS

  • Exceptional and proven track record of software sales leadership

    Required

    • At least 2 years experience in working with the entire ICS portfolio
    • At least 2 years experience in working with Notes/Domino Messaging, Sametime and Unified Communications, or IBM Smart Cloud Solutions for ICS
    • Readiness to travel 75% travel annually
    • English: Fluent

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • At least 5 years experience in software sales
    • At least 5 years experience in technical software sales
    • At least 5 years experience in working with the entire ICS portfolio
