Responsibilities
This is a "hands-on" position. The IBX Site Engineer-Electrician will:
- Run AC and DC electrical circuits in accordance with customer needs using cable tray distribution.
- Test and troubleshoot AC and DC electrical circuits to ensure proper functioning.
- Learn the company's design for the electrical build out of the data center.
- Assist with start up tests after installation of new customers' equipment.
- Use Oracle enterprise management software to document all work performed.
Qualifications Experience
- Experience with AC and DC power distribution.
- Working knowledge of Windows 98 / Outlook / Word / Excel and ability to learn to use relevant parts of the company's Oracle enterprise management software system.
- Ability to read and analyze electrical plans and blue prints.
- Prior experience w/ data center operations, working with generators, UPS systems, and PDUs a plus.
- Four years of commercial or industrial electrical experience strongly desired.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Customer service orientation.
- Must be able to work on ladders 8 ft. above the ground and to lift 60 lbs.
