I&C Engineer
Well established, fully integrated engineering firm has an immediate need near Chicago, IL for an IC Engineer with refinery or chemical process industry experience. Responsibilities
- Specify all types of instrumentation and control panels within the refining and chemical process industry
- Process control, cause and effect matrix, instrument index, I/O list, control panel design, installation details, SIS systems, PID development, and relief valve sizing
- Start up, commissioning, and construction support
- Planning, scheduling, design quality, and execution of projects
- Preparation of budgets, estimates, and progress reports
- Works with client to develop design compatible with client requirements, specifications, and standards
- Conceptual, FEED detailed engineering
Requirements
- BS degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is required
- 5-10 years instrumentation and controls experience within the refining and chemical process industry
- Experience specifying all types of refining and chemical process instrumentation
- Capable of conceptual, FEED detailed engineering in all aspects of instrument engineering
- Strong project management skills and ability to direct a team of engineers
- Knowledge of process control, cause and effect matrix, instrument index, I/O list, control panel design, installation details, SIS systems, PID development, and relief valve sizing
- Must be open to travel - may be required to work in the field
- Experience with InTools preferred
- Start up, commissioning, and construction support experience preferred
- PE license is a plus
