ICT System Support Engineer
Our client, a Belgian industrial group is urgently looking for a ICT system Support Engineer. The motivated candidate will reports to the Financial Director.
Main goal of the function
Provide IT support for hardware and software to all users in the offices in Brussels and Luxemburg (approx. 80 users). In this environment, users are working both on a centrally managed IT platform through a Citrix client application and on stand-alone PC applications.
Assist with the administrative tasks (inventories, follow-up of licenses, purchases, disaster recovery planning, …).
Assist with the maintenance of the network and the servers in conjunction with the Group’s central IT provider.
Main responsibilities tasks
· Install and maintain hardware and software on end-user PCs, printers, PDA’s, multi-media projectors
· Remote user support for the installation of the reporting system (VPN client, Citrix client)
· Assist users with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VBA macros)
· In-house brief training of end users on specific limited topics (Lotus Notes, Excel, Powerpoint, …)
· In conjunction with IT Provider :
o Take care of the administrative side of IT
o Develop, maintain and test the Business Continuity Plan
o Maintain all servers
Profile requested
· IT knowledge:
o experience with installation of PCs
o knowledge of Windows XP
o knowledge of MS/Excel, Access and VBA
o knowledge of Lotus Notes is an asset
o knowledge of Windows 2000 or 2003 server and Active Directory
o willingness to learn new products (SQL Server, Cognos Controller, …)
· Excellent communication skills
· Autonomous, well organized, assertive
· Fluent in English, knowledge of French and Dutch is an asset
