Our client is a Global leader and one of the world's most respected and well known brands. Their technology infrastructure is essential to ensure day-to-day operations. In conjunction with Volt Workforce Solutions, our client is looking to hire an experienced: IDM Application Engineer.

IDM Application Engineer will work within the Identity Management platform. This platform includes servers such as Apache web servers, java application servers, identity management policy servers, LDAP Directory servers, back office servers, and any other server included in the customer facing service delivery platforms. The selected candidate will also facilitate testing of these applications and platforms through the existing Development, Quality, and Load Test environments and provide documentation and best practices for the Technology Operations teams for production deployment. They will also research new technologies and solutions for forward-looking design considerations as the platforms evolve.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Research and evaluate new applications that will provide new improved feature functionality and efficiencies to optimize the existing infrastructure. This includes working with network and systems engineering teams to provide holistic solutions for future projects.

2. Documentation of system designs, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting procedures.

3. Enforcement of systems standards, policies and procedures in regards to hardware and operating system selection, configuration, and deployment.

4. Research and documentation of application best practices for performance, security, and stability.

5. Capacity planning and hardware sizing.

6. Planning and implementing disaster recovery and high availability for critical systems.

7. Troubleshooting of application, operating system and hardware problems.

8. Ability to communicate effectively with business counterparts.

9. Assist in the development and implementation of server standards for all new servers.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.

2. Strong communication and documentation skills.

3. Must be Self Motivated and Result Oriented.

4. Must be comfortable working in a team environment.

5. Strong UNIX systems administration skills in both Linux and Solaris environments.

6. Strong experience with working with an ISP web / java server environment (Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat, interacting with Oracle databases, multi-tiered load balanced environments). Experience configuring any of the before-mentioned applications with IPv6 is a plus.

7. Strong experience with Computer Associate's (CA) Identity Manager and Siteminder software.

8. Experience with Siteminder Impersonation a plus.

9. Understanding of TCP/IP Networking including OSI Model and basic UNIX system level network troubleshooting skills.

10. Software development experience using Java is a plus but not required.
