Summary:  Provide technical engineering evaluation and analysis support to the CIED Division, MCWL.  **This position is contingent upon Task Order award **

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Identifying and recommending material, technology, and TTP solutions to government personnel for countering IED threats;

·         Monitoring various CIED emerging technology projects and experiments;

·         Coordinating with multiple organizations (government and commercial), and military staffs;

·         Synthesizing detailed reports from multiple sources;

·         Briefing senior personnel;

·         Attending multiple working group meetings; and

·         Researching and drafting responses to quick turnaround Request for Information (RFIs)

·         Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

 

Supervision:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

Specific expertise shall include, but is not limited to: (1) An understanding of MAGTF operations at the MEU, Marine Expeditionary Battalion (MEB), and MEF level; (2) An understanding of joint and service doctrine and an understanding of the military experimentation process;

An understanding of the general requirements of testing evaluation of emerging technology and the Defense Acquisition Process;

A Graduate Degree (MS/ME/MA/MBA), five years of progressive technical experience or a Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), and nine years of progressive technical experience; and

MS Office and intermediate computer skills are required.

 

Computer Skills:

Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Outlook and SharePoint.

Clearance:  TS/SCI is required.

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
