IFS Risk Operations, Senior Associate recruitment
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the implementation projects for new risk clients
• Review risk reports before delivering to existing clients
• Provide support, resolve client issues, and demonstrate a firm understanding of the product to users (risk managers, traders etc.)
• Perform root cause analysis in terms of risk analytics, historical market data and fund transparency data queries
• Reconcile risk results against accounting reports and independent data
• Assist in specifying new functionality to further streamline operational processes
• Communicate issues to different departments within the firm and to various groups within the risk department
• Develop and execute user acceptance tests
• Assist team development
Individuals typically supervise a team of 1 - 3 employees.
Knowledge, Skills Experience Required
• Degree in Mathematics or other analytical related degree with financial markets exposure(minimum 2.2 honors degree)
• FRM or CFA qualification an advantage
• Minimum 2-3 years within financial services
• Candidate must have an understanding of risk management and hedge funds.
• Candidate must have an understanding of financial instruments including Fixed Income, Swaps, Options, Credit Derivatives and FX.
• Experience in a client facing, client focused role.
• Strong analytical ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Highly motivated, multi-task capable and a willingness to learn.
• Proven work experience with the SQL query language and Excel.
• Experience with Visual Basic and macros in Excel a plus.
• Bloomberg and/or Reuters knowledge.
