IFS Transfer Agency Manager, Vice President recruitment

IFS provides fund accounting, administration, tax, compliance and middle office trade support services to hedge fund managers. IFS combines its experienced teams of trained financial service professionals with sophisticated software development talent to create a superior trade support infrastructure that features Straight-Through-Processing (STP) and real-time information. The responsibilities of the operations group is to provide clients with portfolio pricing, trade allocation, confirmation, correction and settlement, prime broker interfaces, repo processing and cash management.

Job Description
1. Relationship Management - develop and maintain the relationship(s) between IFS and clients, banks and auditors ensuring professional communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail are the standards for the client service team.

2. Internal Controls - develop and ensure adequate internal controls exist and are enforced for transfer agency processes (including, subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, statement production and mailing, etc.).

3. Review Process - responsible for reviewing the work of staff and for ensuring that all relevant policies, procedures and controls are adhered to on a daily/monthly basis for all processes (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, compliance, performance information (statements), mailings, etc.) Including, but not limited to reviewing each capital transaction monthly for all funds and noting investor documentation is accurate and complete and information entered into ISSTM is accurate.

4. Investor Statement Preparation Review - understand all aspects of the statement process, including calculations, client specific and regulatory reporting requirements; monitor the statement cycle and ensure timely communication to the fund's investors.

5. Document Review Client (Fund) Initialization - For new clients (funds), review all fund documents; review and approve the ISSTM set up checklist prepared and ensure the fund is established accurately on the ISSTM system; attend initialization meetings and complete initialization tasks assigned timely.

6. Staff Management - interview and hire qualified employees; ensure adequate team structure is in place; establish team and individual goals; conduct goal setting and performance review sessions; review performance information in conjunction with salary reviews; prepare and execute annual training plan; and conduct staff meetings.

7. Participation in IFS strategic development - continually work with senior management to develop a strategic plan for the organization, and specifically the transfer agency capability, including software development, recruitment, staff development, internal policies and controls

Skills

• Minimum 5 years customer service experience in financial services
• Hedge Fund specific experience
• Management experience (min. 5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accounting experience a plus
• Detail oriented and self motivated
• College degree
