Our client is a leading investment management company with a contract opportunity available within its organization for an IIROC Compliance Policies Procedures Champion.

The IIROC Policies Procedures Compliance Champion is to be responsible for managing all aspects involved with updating the policies and procedures to current specifications. He/she will ensure that IIROC policies procedures as well as processes are leading edge and in line with current regulations and standards on behalf of this fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

The IIROC compliance champion will be in charge of the oversight for all IIROC accountabilities and full compliance, particularly regarding all operations policies and procedures as well as accounting. He/she will be required to proof-read, edit and update all aspects of the firm’s policies and procedures manuals. He/she will play an important role in contributing to the design and ongoing management of IIROC programs and will ensure alignment with corporate philosophy and strategic direction while protecting the reputation of the firm.

Qualifications:

Ideally suited for this contract opportunity is an established IIROC Compliance professional with 4 or more years of experience with responsibility for the oversight of all IIROC accountabilities specifically including all operations, policies and procedures as well as accounting. Candidates will have a detailed understanding of financial services, particularly in the field of wealth management and how IIROC as an organization, and all related regulations and standards, apply to the industry.

Candidates should have the ability to identify priorities while managing multiple activities. Proactive and able to cope under pressure, candidates will have both, in-depth knowledge of a wide range of compliance IIROC policies and procedures. Candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of the investment industry and a wide range of investment products including listed equities, restricted securities, private placements and derivatives combined with in-depth knowledge of a wide range of investment products including listed equities, restricted securities, private placements and derivatives.
