ILS Analyst recruitment
ILS include cat bonds, sidecars, synthetic ILS and various other securitization and derivative products. We are seeking college degreed candidates with llittle or no work experience. This is a Junior role in sales, trading, structuring and origination with a focus on catastrophe bonds. The role will support the needs of the NY ILS team primarily focused on its sales and origination activities in a fast paced international environment.
The Opportunity
The responsibilities of the role:
-Help prepare pitch books for potential new investors and issuers
-Assistance in new issue process and executing secondary trades
-Organization of investor seminars
-Assist in creation of market research reports and secondary trading databases
-Perform analysis and develop stock pitch book materials as appropriate
-Support new product development efforts in ILS
-Participate in the full range of transaction execution activities
About you
-Bachelor's degree with significant emphasis in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar analytical discipline with a strong record of achievement required; however, prior investment banking experience is not required
-Strong communication, quantitative and analytical skills
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, deadlines in a fast paced,dynamic environment
-Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
-Ability to interact with investors / clients professionally and make a good impression
-Excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail in presentation materials
-Interest in securitization and insurance necessary; experience helpful but not essential
-Language skills (German, French, Spanish, Japanese etc.) a plus but not essential
-Strong team player
