IMM EMEA Project Manager – Credit Risk Management recruitment
An opportunity has arisen for an IMM EMEA Project Manager within the Global Credit Risk Management function of a well know investment bank. Reporting to the Head of Global Risk PMO the successful candidate will be responsible for taking the IMM models and rolling them out globally, seeking to get IMM approval from the host regulator. You will work closely with the Credit Risk Analytics and IT teams to assist with the global programme. Other key stakeholders include Model Validation Group, Finance, Operations, Legal and Front Office. Based in Londonthe function will comprise the following responsibilities:
Role
- Responsible for managing and co-ordinating all activities relating to the UK FSA IMM waiver application in EMEA region
- Plan and execute all deliverables and work with the key stakeholders to ensure clear communication of project status and risks, dependencies and issues
- Manage the project pipeline process and governance processes
- Contribute to the global IMM project status reporting
- Manage all EMEA based issues, risks, dependencies
- Make presentations to the IMM Steering Committee, the Credit Risk Steering Committee and the Global Basel Steering Committee regarding project status and key risks / issues
- Facilitate dialogue and discussions across different functional areas to ensure project remains on track
- Develop 'best practice' project management tools and techniques, including standards for planning, documentation and testing
- Establish resource transparency across the UK submission part of the programme
- Manage the communication process, including internal external marketing, stakeholder requirements, tools and team information needs
Skills
- Previous experience of managing IMM projects is essential
- Basel III experience highly desirable
- UK FSA experience is highly desirable however other regulators would be acceptable
- Previous relevant experience in managing diverse cross functional credit related projects
- Credit Risk experience covering exposures, ratings, reporting
- Experience with project documentation, processes and control environment
- A good understanding of the evolving Regulatory environment and its challenges
- Proven execution skills - this is a requirement for a strong delivery focused project manager
This role requires candidates with strong analytical and communications skills. You will be a self-starter with a strong ability to influence people. You will be required to execute the role with minimum supervisions and manage relationships both internally and externally.
