Immediate Opening for FHA DE Underwriter
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DE government loan underwriter. First American Mortgage Trust is a national wholesale mortgage banker specializing in manual underwriting of FHA loans. We look for compensating factors to make FHA loans work. We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, take charge professional to join our team.
Responsibilities will include: evaluating the credit-worthiness of incoming applications, obtaining information for clarification, entering data, analyzing conditions and working with other departments to expedite loan closings. This position is located in our Brookline, Massachusetts corporate office. Please indicate salary preferences.
Qualifications:
1. B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related
2. Prior underwriting experience
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
4. Strong analytical abilities
5. DE certification
6. 203K underwriting knowledge a plus - FHA Rehabilitation/Construction Loans
