Stott and May have been retained to source an experienced and talented Implementation and support consultant. This individual will be senior to the team and will require the knowledge and know how that can only be required from years of real experience. 

Our client is a leading global professional services consultancy providing solutions to some of the worlds most prominent FS brands with effective people, financial and risk management consulting. The latter of these areas is increasingly becoming the most prominent division of our client’s service portfolio. Within this division our client is also a preeminent developer and provider of risk analytics and financial modeling software. Our client is unique in the way that they provide technical innovation and engineering expertise to their software development professionals with the actuarial knowledge and thought leadership of their insurance consulting business to provide world class solutions that help their customers measure value, manage risk and safeguard solvency.

The role

We are looking for a technology implementation and support consultant who will need to provide pre-sales, installation and post-sales technical support for desktop and enterprise deployments of advanced financial modeling software. You will lead bespoke, on-sight and remote installation, configuration and support for enterprise software deployment. You will provide technical input (infrastructure) and support to the development teams. You will also act as a manager to junior consultants providing them with pre-sales technical support.

To be able to carry out all of the above mentioned tasks you will need the following areas as proven experience:

-A track record of working in a similar role

-Very strong analytical ability where numerous examples of problem solving can be recalled

-Microsoft windows, windows server and networking knowledge

-Experience supporting IIS, SQL, Server, active directory

-Good knowledge of server hardware and configuration

-Experience with a scripting language

-Educated with strong results at degree level

-Experience of working with high performance distributed computing.

-Database development

-.Net development experience

-Oracle administration

-Ability to understand and plan complex IT architectures.
