IMS Director, VP recruitment

This position is the key leader in managing the middle office outsourcing engagement of a complex global asset manager to for the Investment Management Services (IMS) division. Specific duties are for the Portfolio Services function that include but are not limited to: overall recordkeeping accuracy, reconciliation oversight, currency balance monitoring, and client reporting. The portfolio services function is integrated with up and down stream functions across the global IMS organization such as, transaction management, corporate actions, pricing, and performance. Cross functional and cross geographic collaboration and cooperation is a must. As the owner of the Portfolio Services delivery, the Vice President will participate in internal senior calls, lead weekly service delivery reviews with the client and participate in joint senior level service reviews. Building and maintaining a strong client relationship at all levels of the organization is critical to this function.

Individuals at this level are held accountable for effectively developing solutions toward the successful integration from the client's environment to State Street's business model. IMS VPs have a "big picture focus" on operations and system needs to continually develop and implement enhancements.
This role is located in Berwyn, PA. Regional travel is required for frequent client visits.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Develop recommend and execute business plans.
•Participate as part of the sales team to secure new business. Develop fee proposals.
•Maintain direct client contact on client relationships for contract negotiation, problem resolution, etc.
•Responsible for profitability of assigned client group, proactive account planning ongoing contact initiatives for larger customers, product development
•Manage conversions of new business.
•Define and implement new company initiatives.
•Develop relationships with key contacts with internal/external clients, making sure that requests are being met and that clients are satisfied with their level of service.
•Assess and execute operational effectiveness and streamline functions.
•Monitor profitability of the client base and take appropriate steps to ensure that account becomes or remains profitable.
•Manage risk exposure as part of standardized business practices; immediately address and escalate issues, as appropriate, to sustain strong financial performance.
•Manage deliverable to agreed upon key risk indicators and contractual critical service levels.
•May perform other duties as requested.

Skills

Education and Experience:

•Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance required, MBA strongly desired.
•Minimum of 10 years of directly related financial services experience, with international financial services experience required. Investment Management and Global Custody experience desirable.
•A solid knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity and Alternative Investment Securities and the Investment industry required.
•Minimum 8 to 10 years of demonstrated management and leadership ability. State Street experience strongly desired.
•Client / Customer service experience at a senior level is highly desirable.
•Vendor management and contract experience desired.

Skills/Knowledge:

•Extensive experience in client and business management within asset manager or asset servicing marketplace.
•Proven track record in the development of process solutions to drive operating excellence and client satisfaction.
•Extensive experience in change management.
•Extensive experience in project management of virtual teams and meeting deadlines.
•Experience developing successful relationships with a variety of clients, vendors and partners including required negotiations.
•Excellent communication skills required.
