Required Working Hours: Part and Full Time Available; Days, M-F 8am-5pm MST

Job Description: Position Summary
Customer Service Representatives answer inbound customer service calls, make outbound courtesy calls to past due accounts, provide compliant loan documentation, process compliant loan documentation, process payments, and receive and send professional emails to students and customers. Job duties are performed in a customer support/call center environment with phone and email based customer interaction. Representatives must be well versed in student loan compliance with flexibility to adapt to changes in services offered and the ability to learn quickly.

Key Job Responsibilities
• Maintaining customer relationships with schools and students by providing the highest level of service, timely follow up of requests, and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
• Follow up on requests from schools and students
• Explaining and promoting repayment options  
• Become well versed in several services provided and systems with flexibility to adapt to changes with ease and optimism
• Answer inbound telephone calls and place outbound calls to past due accounts
• Accurately enter and edit customer information in database
• Promptly and courteously respond to customer inquiries, requests or complaints
• Perform outbound follow up calls to promote customer support/care relationships
• Send thank you / follow up emails to build customer relationships
• Provide customers with informational materials, including deferment forms, and repayment postcards
• Research and resolve any issues to ensure customer retention and satisfaction
• Comprehensive knowledge of the products and services offered by the company
• Understanding of company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of all customer information systems, web site navigation, and databases
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor to achieve organizational goals
• Respond to general inquiry emails
• Respond to general mailbox voicemails
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two year's customer service and/or call center experience (College education preferred)
• Excellent communication skills are also required
• Adaptability to changes in workload, systems and processes with resilience and a positive attitude
• Deductive reasoning and problem solving skills
• Ability to work with a team and as a team
• Comprehensive knowledge of the products and services offered by the company
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and remain detail oriented
• Customer service experience and MS Office knowledge
• Communication skills, written and verbal, to transmit information accurately and understandably, and to actively seek feedback
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with upset customers
• Student loan and receivables experience preferred
