Our client, the leading provider of healthcare software solutions and services for clinical decision support and associated informatics, is in need of an Incident Manager to join their team.

If you're an ITIL and MCSA qualified IT professional with experience of supporting Windows and using an ITSM tool, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company. As the Incident Manager, you will be responsible for restoring normal operational service after incidents with minimal impact to our client or their customers.

Managing major incidents, you'll act as the central point of contact for the support staff and teams. Additionally liaising between the customer, the operational staff, CS managers and senior manager, you'll keep them informed as to the progression and resolution of the incident.

Identifying and co-ordinating problem management activities, you will provide management information and reports for all IT related incidents and problem management activities and metrics.

Assisting with driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the incident management process, you will manage the work of the 1st and 2nd line incident support staff. Monitoring the effectiveness of the incident management function, you will make recommendations for improvement and develop and maintain systems and documentation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- Significant experience of working in an IT service delivery environment
- Experience of working with and administering a Windows 2003 domain
- A proven track record of using an ITSM tool
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows Server, Citrix, AD, MS Office and/or SQL
- An ITIL foundation certificate or experience of working in an ITIL based environment
- An ITIL incident management practitioner certificate
- An MSCA qualification (or be working towards it)

As the Incident Manager, you must have superb communication and interpersonal skills. A team player, you will have a flexible and mature outlook and strong team management and leadership capabilities.

Experience with MagIC T ITSM Tool would be beneficial to your application. A PRINCE2 foundation certificate would also be an advantage
