Income Analyst, Financial Services
Pivotal FS business based in London, City are currently recruiting for an income analyst to work within their management accounts team. The team provides information to the Executive team and business to help them make budgeting decisions consistent with their framework, budget constraints and strategic objectives. As a high profile business, the company is under constant scrutiny so this team needs to get the figures right but also to see the bigger picture, and provide narrative to the Executive team whilst delivering high-quality service to the business areas.
- Leading the fee consultation process including preparation of proposed fees policy, fee rates and cost allocations and managing industry feedback;
- Coordinating closely with the fees team to ensure an appropriate level of consistency with fee consultation and proposed changes;
- Maintaining and reviewing the Fees Service Level Agreement;
- Ensuring regulated firms are billed correctly;
- Preparing management reports on fees and other income;
Providing decision support and preparation of meaningful fees management information for relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with preparation of budget material.
- Owning and developing a selection of Management Accounts processes;
- Ad-hoc analysis and process implementation in the context of budgeting and cost control
Requirements:
· Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
· Capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
· Comfortable and credible engaging with senior management with the ability to progress recommendations and policy agenda;
· Strong organisational skills, with a proven track record of managing projects to strict deadlines and an ability to effectively prioritise tasks;
· Ability to work unsupervised and perform well under pressure;
· Experience of analysing and working with internal budgets or cost allocations;
· An ability to design and collate meaningful financial reports, preferably in a range of companies and industries
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex numerical issues in writing or verbally;
· Ability to pick things up quickly, analyse an issue, make recommendations and then follow them through to successful completion;
· Advanced Excel skills and the ability to maintain and manipulate large data sets across different IT systems are a must, and, preferably, systems knowledge of Hyperion ESSBASE and Cognos reports;
