Index Rebalance Trader- Asia/US Focus
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching, pricing and trading Index Rebalance arbitrage opportunities with a particular focus on major Asian and US indices.
- Exploring index rebalance opportunities in developing markets e.g. MSCI AC (All Country) Far East ex Japan Index etc.
- Understanding and implementing trading strategies based upon personal research undertaken and industry data of key markets
- Managing and understanding the various risks of our positions and of each trade
- Building and maintaining relationships with brokers and research analysts
- Demonstrating market leading returns in the products traded
- Effectively communicating trade and market information amongst the desk
- Providing information to management and traders on other desks detailing our market conditions and any relevant information
- Trading within risk and margin limits
- Understanding and trading within Market Rules
- Mentoring, training and developing junior staff
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience – Index Rebalance trading or research experience essential
- Experience and understanding trading index rebalance opportunities across the Asian and US markets
- Robust understanding of the Asian and American index rebalance opportunities
- Actual or preliminary knowledge of developing markets with a view to trade rebalances
- Experience developing trading strategies with a track record of profitability
- Highly advanced mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of financial markets and associated products
- Registered and approved to trade on the relevant exchange where necessary
