POSITION OVERVIEW:
Based in Frankfurt, as part of a regional team covering Germanic, Northern and Western Europe including Switzerland, France and Iberia, the Index Sales Specialist will be supporting the growth of our index business across the entire product range both with existing and new clients for the Germanic region. The sales team covers primarily asset managers, private banks wealth managers, broker dealers / banks and insurance companies. The new sales specialist will have a primary focus on the banking and retail segment including wealth management and related parties and is charged with an aggressive growth plan for this segment. It is a highly visible role working in a targeted, sales driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the whole sales cycle - determine new business opportunities (researching, cold calling, floor walks etc), pipeline and renewal management, proposal and contract management, maintain existing client relationships and accounts with a focus on new client business
- Achieve targeted revenue goals within the respective sales territory
- Work closely with other functions (client service, legal, contracts, billing, etc) to ensure that all clients requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
- Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
- Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sales experience within the investment industry working in a targeted revenue environment
- Proven track record of sales achievement and client relationship management
- Knowledge of the Financial Industry ideally with experience on the banking side (e.g. structured product certificate sales, equity sales) and an understanding of wealth management and retail markets
- Strong financial academic background
- CFA, MBA, MFE, or Masters Degree is an advantage
- Fluency in German and English other languages (e.g. French) are a plus
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team, ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
