Our client, a well known industrial company in Luxembourg, is recruiting an experienced

 

Industrial Central Buyer (m/f)

based in Luxembourg

 

The Central Buyer is responsible for;

-           The tactical purchasing process and reports directly to the Central Planning Leader.

-           The total purchasing portfolio amounts over 50M€ a year.

-           The raw material items including but not limited to polypropylene materials.

 

Role - Job description:

 

 

-           Identify group needs and interact pro-active with the internal (local) buyers and
            suppliers

-           Initiate purchasing-driven sourcing saving projects, with balanced focus on Costs,
Value and Risks.

-           Responsible for the formulation of tenders: tender analysis based on commercial and
technical criteria, respecting all legal and deontological conditions,

-           Maintains good relations with suppliers, constantly seeking for new opportunities in order to
obtain maximal cost efficiency.

-           Ensure optimal management of different databases (suppliers, product items,
customers, proposals, contracts,)

-           Communicate all relevant information to internal customers in function of purchasing
projects and supports them when making up budgets and planning. 

-           Improve the operational process flow from Purchase Requisition until payment of
invoices.

-           Looking systematically for synergies and opportunities within the organization.

-           Streamlines the relationship between Purchasing, Internal Clients and Suppliers.

-           Propose actions to improve procedures and processes.

-           Measure and improves the supplier performance on a continuously base.

-           Report purchasing results to Management on a periodical base.

-           Make up a yearly Strategic Purchasing plan in collaboration with the relevant
stakeholders based on the company’s objectives and on a detailed Spend Analysis

Profile:

 

-           University degree, Industrial Engineer, Commercial Engineer, Marketing Sales

-           Supplementary education or training programs within Purchasing or Supply Management is recommended

-           Min. 5-6 years of experience in Purchasing.

-           Experience in plastic sector is an advantage. Polypropylene buying background is an asset.

-           The ideal candidate is a dynamic, pro active personality

-           Able to convince and motivate colleagues and internal clients

-           Analytical, assertive, and empathic

-           Excellent English communication skills, both spoken as written

-           Self starter, result driven, integer and commercial

 

IT Knowledge

 

Knowledge of purchasing applications, such as:

-           BW, Reporting, KPI, Savings

-           SAP MM

-           e-procurement: e-requisitioning, e-sourcing, e-tendering, e-auctioning

-           SAP FI/CO

-           Tendering, auctioning bidding
