Industrial Electrician (PLC) Job in Macomb 61455, Illinois Us
A client of ours in the greater Macomb, IL area has several immediate openings on 2nd shift for industrial electricians to join their team on a long-term basis. Electricians will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in the plant. Responsibilities may include:
1) Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as lathes, grinders, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
2) Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
3) Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
4) Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Mechanics, to diagnose malfunctioning equipment.
5) Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
6) Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
7) Replaces electric motor bearings and reconnects motors.
8) Pushes buttons and presses keys on teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
9) Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
10) Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic electrical components of machines and equipment.
11) Support the Plant quality systems goals / improvements productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
12) Support the Plant safety programs / goals within the scope of the job.
13) Experienced with Allen Bradley PLC's, inverter drives and servo drive applications.
14) Experienced with 480V power.
