Industrial Engineer
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER with LEAN manufacturing experience needed in Shreveport, Louisiana for a leading consumer goods manufacturer. Relocation assistance may be available for this full-time direct hire position. You will work in the plant providing Industrial Engineering expertise supporting Project Management, and making recommendations for cost reduction and Process optimization. Local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
- You will Promote Process Optimization, provide project management, documentation, analysis and design to achieve plant objectives.
- You will review and analyze labor, cost or production data and make recommendations to improve work and production processes.
- Provide input to MRP system in terms of production estimates, staffing requirements and work methods, and develops job evaluation programs and forms
- Design and conduct time studies, develops methods for improving productivity, perform evaluation and line balancing analysis to improve processes
- Assist in developing material handling systems for new products, and collecting information pertaining to cost estimates
Requirements
- BS Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Technology
- At least 4 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment as an industrial engineer with a working Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma Tools and Project Management background
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Processes, Time Studies, MRP Systems, Line Bal. Job Evaluation and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
