Develop, maintain and adjust labor standards and procedures to support a customized labor scheduling program. Support process improvement through work measurement, analysis and recommendation. Train supervisors on necessary performance management concepts, labor system requirements, and methods and procedures. Perform periodic profiling "what-if" analysis to evaluate optimal layout and material handling scenario. Investigate changes in methods affecting the standards through feedback from the Management staff, operations personnel and from daily audits of performance reports and from observations completed by the supervisory team. Perform time studies to derive or modify engineered standards. Prepare optimum work center and facility layouts; coordinate, direct and follow up on layout changes Periodically participate in college courses to stay abreast with technological advances in the industry, to enhance one's present experience level or as a refresher program. Assist in evaluating staffing and cost estimates and reflect labor standards, trends, and opportunities in labor budgets. Perform labor cost analysis and cost reports. Develop and manage Lean, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma initiatives. Provide input for project planning. Provide guidance to peers on project management and scheduling work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. Assist in capital budgeting process, provide ROI analysis and prepare capital expense requests. Manage or assist with relevant capital projects. Qualification 2 to 5 years experience related to Distribution Operations Management/Supervision, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering. Six Sigma Green belt. Black belt certification desired. Strong interpersonal, training/coaching, influencing skills. Ability to conduct meetings and presentations with associates from all levels. Knowledge of forecasting and staff planning. Strong math, analytical, and problem solving skills. Knowledge of work standards development. Experience in warehouse / distribution center operations, process flow, and layout. Excellent PC skills. Good written and oral communications skills. Detail oriented. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Computer skills to include: Microsoft Office, MS Visio, Minitab, MS Access, Visual Basic Additional Info Minimum Age 18+ years old Job Industries Customer Service
