Position Description
Leads the Industrial Engineering and lean team for 787 Mid-Body assembly and integration in Boeing South Carolina.
Manages employees and first-level managers performing industrial engineering and/or methods process analysis activities, including development, implementation and evaluation of process to improve and integrate facilities, equipment, materials, processes and personnel; process measurement and analysis, forecasting, shop loads, capacity planning. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a managerial or team lead role?
Do you have previous experience applying Lean principles in a manufacturing environment?
Do you have previous experience leading a production rate increase?
Typical Education/Experience
Other Job related information
Preferred: Experience in large-scale Assembly and Composite fabrication. Experience in development of Learning Curves, Log charts, Capacity Analysis, Master Schedules. Certification in Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW) and Production Preparation Process (3P) Events. Experience in developing Value Stream Maps (VSM), leading 3P workshops. Familiarity with BCA IE Practices. Knowledge of major systems conversions, insertion of industrial engineering processes and Critical Chain Project Management into the production system.
