General Description:
This position will primarily perform general maintenance on equipment and facility.
• Install and/or repair automated machinery
• Able to troubleshoot and make minor modifications to PLC programs including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron processors.
• Must be able to understand electrical panel diagrams and layouts in accordance with ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA Standards
• Must be able to perform operator machine interface, troubleshoot camera based inspection system (vision) programming, and be familiar with a wide array of sensors.
• Troubleshoot to determine robot malfunctions using knowledge of microprocessors programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Disassemble robots and/or peripheral equipment to repair or replace defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, servo-motors, servo valves, etc.
• Accountable, plant wide, for operational aspects of the teams, including progress toward quality and production goals, prioritize and coordinate daily schedules, attend shift start up, overtime, vacation coverage, record keeping, safety and housekeeping.
• Communication with other Maintenance Team Members, Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Manager, and other support functions.
• Organize, and facilitate maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues in the spirit of continuous improvement. Including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules.
• Troubleshooting and repairing production and facility equipment with emphasis on production uptime.
• Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Use electrical test equipment as needed for repair and troubleshooting.
• Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
• Communicate clearly maintenance situations from one shift to another, including Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager.
• Completion of Datastream Work orders including labor, parts, and detailed description of work preformed to complete job. Accurate tracking of equipment downtime is also a necessary part of a complete job.
• Management of maintenance inventory through the careful adherence to inventory procedures and tracking of parts used as instructed by MIPC and Maintenance Manager.
• Receive work priority assignments from Shift Managers, Production Manager, or Maintenance Manager to prioritize and coordinate resolutions to equipment breakdowns.
• Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Other tasks as determined by the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements:
• 1 - 2 years experience with industrial control systems and robotics
• Experience working in a Team Environment
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Good practical sense working with and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Knowledge and understanding of basic wiring schematics
• Candidate must also possess attention to detail and communication skills
• Responsible self-starter ready for a high energy production environment
• Should have Robotics controls and Allen Bradley PLC working knowledge and demonstrated experience
• Skills testing will be required with minimum scores applicable.
