Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Position summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain injection molding machines, controls systems, and related equipment. Provide concise, accurate and sufficiently detailed data for input of all maintenance information into the CMMS system. Provides emergency/unscheduled and schedule maintenance repairs of equipment. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of conveyer and control systems. Drive and operate different equipment such as golf cart, company vehicles, forklift, etc. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Input all work order in the CMMS system and complete all PM's and CM's logs and paperwork. Support the operations with clearing bag jams on the system. Comply with the company safety program. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Position Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED•
•2-3 years of related experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations•Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems.•Metal manufacturing experience a plus•Basic understanding of PLC Control systems•Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics•Proficiency in Word and Excel.•Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift including weekends and holidays.•Must be able to be badged to work in the secure area of the airport.
•Must be willing to learn, cooperate with others, and above all -- work safely.
•Must pass a electrical and mechanical skills test.
•Must be familiar with chain, wire, sprocket, pipe and belt sizes and types, and the proper replacement methods for each.
•Must be able to use a digital multi-meter and clamp-on amp meter.
•Must be willing to provide a phone number to be reached for emergency call-outs and respond promptly when called upon.
•Must be able to supply own set of basic tools for use on the job.
•Must display excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
•Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time.

•Must be available to work NIGHT, EVENING, or DAY shifts.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.

Work Environment:
The work environment is hot and loud in the plant. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on different machines and heavy equipment.
