Position requires a good knowledgs of general maintenance concepts including pump repair, welding, troubleshooting, basic industrial electrical concepts and piping. See more details below.
Maintenance Technician /Mechanical
REPORTS TO: Assistant – Manager Maintenance
Position Summary
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical equipment in a chemical processing environment. Scope of work is of a varied nature with minimum supervision.
Position Responsibilities
• Performs work in a safe and productive manner.
• Position will be subject to shift rotation as needed.
• Some overtime and weekend work is required.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains process equipment.
• Diagnoses process equipment failures.
• Dismantles repairs and reassembles process equipment.
• Directs work of helpers as required.
• Must be team oriented.
• Uses typical mechanic’s tools and inspection equipment.
• Works from drawings, verbal instructions or sketches.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Available for on call duties as required.
• Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions.

Position Requirements
• Two year technical degree and minimum of two years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Applicants will be required to pass skills assessment testing.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Ability to manually lift 75 lbs
• Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external customers of the company.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Walking, kneeling or standing for extended periods oftime may be required.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
