Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated SALES REPRESENTATIVE / ACCOUNTEXECUTIVE with INDUSTRIAL SALES EXPERIENCE who is results oriented and capable of spending close to 80% of their time on the road networking with clients. The ideal candidate for this position will maintain and improve service to existing accounts while developing new accounts in their assigned territory.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Spend about 80% of your time on the road visiting customer sites performing informal, preliminary equipment surveys as required

·        Act as direct liaison to assist Field Service personnel in resolving problems as they arise

·        Generate comprehensive quotes / proposals to meet customer requirements

·        Complete and submit reports such as those listed below in a timely manner

·        Weekly expense reports, weekly call reports, monthly activity reports

·        Target account planning

·        Ensure the following: Sales calls are accurately managed; Proper follow-up is done in regard to quotes; closing transactions are done in a timely manner

Requirements:

·     3 years of experience performing outside sales based activities, preferably within a company that specializes in rotating equipment and industrial Business to Business sales

·      Solid experience in Industrial Sales of rotating equipment (pumps, valves, gearboxes)

·     Extensive MRO end user experience required in the paper, power generation, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing or process industries
Willingness to acquire an in-depth knowledge of: company product offerings and their related prime market applications and aftermarket potential customers and markets within the assigned territory

·     Experience calling on plant level contacts including: plant managers, maintenance managers, etc
Rotating equipment manufacturing and repair
Gears and bearings

 · Experience calling on:

-        power plants and power generation facilities

-       Chemical Plants

-       Processing facilities

-       Paper Mills

 

Able to meet deadlines, work on short lead times, and handle high-stress situations
Experience building relationships in the assigned territory

Flexible enough to meet demanding travel requirements
Comfortable driving at night on an as needed basis
Demonstrated ability to perform closely within a team environment while possessing the ability to proceed independently when required with minimal supervision even when multiple priorities exist
Time management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Know how to efficiently operate a computer
